What is Briefpanel?

Briefpanel is website change monitoring for teams that need to know exactly what changed on a page, not only that something changed. Paste a URL and describe in plain words what matters on that page: the price and stock of each product, new jobs on a careers page, plans on a competitor's pricing page, or notices on a regulator's site. Briefpanel reads the page, finds the items on it, and shows you what it will track before anything is saved. Then it re-checks the page on the schedule you choose. Most change monitors take a snapshot, compare it with the last one, and send a screenshot with a red box or a long text diff. Someone still has to open the page and work out which product moved. On busy pages, rotating ads, carousels and counters bury the real change in noise, and people learn to ignore the alerts. Briefpanel tracks items instead of the whole page. Each product, plan, job or listing keeps its identity from one check to the next, even when it moves on the page. Every change is saved in that item's own history as added, modified or removed, with the old and new value of the field that moved. That way an alert can say something specific: this product's price dropped, this job was removed, this plan lost a feature. Where an item links to its own page, Briefpanel can read that page too, so details such as specifications or terms are tracked as well. Alerts go to email, push notifications, Slack or Discord, and you decide which kinds of change deserve one. A REST API and an MCP server expose the same items and history to your own tools and to AI agents. Teams use it for competitive intelligence, pricing and e-commerce, procurement, compliance, recruiting, real estate and developer changelogs. There is no subscription: you pay per page read, and new accounts start with free credits and no card.
